Unistrut TelestrutTelestrut supports are an engineered system of integrated telescopic tubular parts and fittings enabling users to build structural supports with adjustability. It is designed to make adjustment, reinforcement and splicing fast and easy. By utilizing square telescopic tubing, Telestrut exhibits superior adjustability and torsional strength.

Unistrut’s Square Telescopic Metal Framing System is designed to telescope with itself, as well as with Unistrut 1-5/8″ x 1-5/8″ channel sections, including part numbers: Unistrut P1000, P1100, P4001, and P4100.

By joining infinitely-adjustable three-sided channel with incrementally adjustable square tubing, the Telestrut system can be telescoped, spliced, adjusted and re-used. It is much quicker and easier to assemble and adjust than anything in its class. You can design, build and change support structures faster – and better – than you ever thought possible.

Unistrut TelestrutThis highly efficient system boasts complete assembly without the need for:

  • Welding
  • Drilling
  • Time-consuming fabrication
  • Special Tools

It also has five different fastening options, including a rivet system for super-fast, boltless fastening. Other fastening options include the Unistrut spring nut and bolt, standard through-bolts and a removable, self-locking gravity pin (for temporary connections).

There are 2 sizes of Telestrut available: the Unistrut P9000 (1-5/8″ x 1-5/8″), and the Unistrut P9200 (1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″). The P9000 and other 1-5/8″ x 1-5/8″ channel sections are able to telescope inside of the P9200.

The Telestrut Framing System is manufactured in both pre-galvanized finish and perma-green finishes. The product line includes several special fittings, designed to be used exclusively with the system. Many of the fittings for the 1-5/8″ Unistrut Metal Framing System are also compatible with their telescoping system.

    Have a few questions on Telestrut:

    Q1: Can we procure design/supply services vs just a supply?

    Q2: Are there any design software packages available for this product?

    Q3: We see where it is only available in a pre-galvanized finish or perma-green finish. Is that still the case or is it now available in a HDG finish? (It notes the product is used for solar panel support which infers this may be the case)

    Will of course have a few more as we understand this product a bit more.

      A2) 3D CAD files for Unistrut products, including Telestrut are available to download here:
      A3) Telestrut P9000 & P9200 are manufactured in PG & GR only currently. Applying HDG coating to these manufactured square tubes might hinder their ability to telescope.
